Hello family, friends, and significant others,
Yesterday was the semi-annual mission footbal of the England Birmingham Mission (also known as Earth's Best Mission).Parents, you will be happy to know that you gave birth to a winner! Our team, the Cheltnam Pink team, destroyed all teams that stood in our paths. Sorry i would send pictures but i'm an idiot and i forgot to take my camera with me! we had the football tournament in Cardiff. Basicallyh the whole mission took a p-day and gathered together to play football(soccer). Each zone was assigned a color and then we played a football tournament. We got assigned pink, so yes we had to walk through cardiff wearing pink. Thats ok though cause we still won and thats all that matters.
Cardiff is gorgeous! it is in the heart of wales! so there are lots of green hills and i even got to see a castle! its called cardiff castle look it up on the internet its pretty sweet.
Mark is going to be baptized not this saturday but the next week and Elizabeth is going to be baptized on the 7 of may! so the work is going very well in Hereford thanks to the Lord, to be honest he does most the work for us, we just obey. the sad part is that i probably will be leaving Hereford at the end of this transfer, which will be a sad day. Maria and her daughter still arent on a baptismal date! i'm a little dissapointed in them but we are teaching them tonight so maybe we'll slap them with the spirit and they'll agree to being baptized! Its frustrating for me sometimes haha people say they want peace and happiness we tell them its possible if you do this and then they dont do it. people sometimes dont make sense. Its ok i'm learning a bit of patience
I dont know what else to write so i will tell you guys of a funny experience me and Elder Jenkins had that i never told you guys about. SO one day our bishop told us " Hey last summer we did a service project, and a documentry camera crew filmed us.They are doing a documentary on hereford culture and how we need to work together as a community. They interviewed me and i cant go you two should go because there will be a lot of people there and you can meet them and talk about the church with people!" Me and Elder Jenkins thought it was a good idea because it would give us a chance to talk about religion in the community and stuff..... well boy were we in for a shocker! Turns out Bishop didnt exactly get the whold story on what the documentary was about. Me and Elder Jenkins turn up and it ends up being like a Gay/lesbian/Tranvestite convention thingy Hahaha. me and Elder Jenkins were like on the third row and the whole documentary was basically interviews with gays and transvestites. At the end people were given the opportunity to talk and it was pretty weird! people were giving us some weird looks. after there was like a much and mingle thing where everyone gets to meet everyone that was interviewed . Most missionaries probably would of just went home after that but hey me and Elder Jenkins werent going to leave without getting some free food! It was a pretty funny experience but now i have to go so see ya later and dont forget to write me!
